Rod Roberts

Broadway credits: Showboat (Frank Shultz), Peter Pan (Dance Captain, understudy), Kiss of the Spiderwoman (swing, understudy).

After studying with Shirley and Joan at Miller-Marley, Rod began his professional career on the theme park circuit by performing in shows at Worlds of Fun, Opryland, Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland . Shortly thereafter, he moved to New York City , and landed a job as a featured dancer on Italy 's #1 variety show, so he packed his bags and moved to Rome for a year. When he returned, he was cast as Skimble Shanks in Cats and performed the show in Vienna , Moscow , and Zurich . His next big show came when Rob Marshall (Director, Chicago the movie) cast him as the swing and understudy in Harold Prince's Kiss of the Spiderwoman. He followed that, by doing the Harold Prince/Susan Stroman Broadway revival of Show Boat, where he played the role of Frank Schultz in the U.S. and on London 's West End . On tour, he's performed in Beauty and the Beast as the Cheesegrater and LeFou understudy, Guys and Dolls (swing) , A Chorus Line (Larry, Mike understudy), and can currently be seen in the Broadway bound production of Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby (Dance Captain, understudy). Rod would like to thank Shirley and Joan for all the great training he received from them. Not only, the technical training, but the performance training as well! Thanks, with all my heart and keep up the great work!
