Nancy Durig, is the Office Manager at Miller Marley. She hails from Hartford, Connecticut, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Bob Durig. The couple moved to Overland Park in 1980. Nancy is a devoted wife and the mother of four grown children: Daniel, the oldest, followed by Kerry, Shannon and Michael. She is also "Memaw" to her two grandchildren, Ryan, and Ellie.

Shortly after the birth of her third child, (Shannon) Nancy enrolled her older daughter, Kerry, at Miller Marley. It wasn't long before Shannon was chomping at the bit to take dancing like her older sister. Finally, Nancy gave in and signed up the barely three year old, Shannon, who, unbeknownst to her mother, would grow up to be a star. In 1997, Nancy took over the role of the "lady behind the desk" and in 2005, Shannon took over the leading role of Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray . on Broadway, no less!

Helping others has always been second nature to Nancy, who has worked as a volunteer with many organizations that include The Junior League, Safehome and St. Thomas Aquinas High School, from which all four children graduated. Just prior to Miller-Marley, Nancy served as a receptionist and coordinated the scheduling at Par Excelance salon and spa in Overland Park. The experience she gained there, and her existing affiliation with the dancing school, made Nancy a prime candidate for her current position at Miller-Marley. Her job involves working long hours and wearing many different hats. Despite the phone calls and a myriad of administrative responsibilities, Nancy manages to keep all the balls in the air while catering to the needs of the staff and the customers.

In 2007, Nancy became a Notary Public and received CPR Certification from the American Heart Association. For ten years, Nancy has been the quintessential mother to the many families who have passed through Miller Marley's doors. Whether she is providing an ice pack to a swollen ankle or coming up with jumper cables to start a car, seldom a week goes by that Nancy Durig doesn't step in to save the day. Her dedication and commitment to Miller Marley are admirable and as the old saying goes,
"We couldn't do it without her."
