| Abby Avery Abby Avery was a student at Miller-Marley for ten years. She was a member of the Miller-Marley Entertainers and traveled with them to Seville , Spain to perform at Expo '92. To further her dance training, she majored in Ballet at Friends University earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. Upon college graduation, she moved to Fresno , California to join the Fresno Ballet. Here she danced several roles in works by Artistic Director Christopher Doyle including the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker and Princess Irena in Firebird. After completing three seasons with the Fresno Ballet, Abby then joined the San Diego Ballet with whom she is dancing today. She is continuing her role as the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker in San Diego along with soloist roles in several ballets including Shakespeare's Sonnets and Alice in Wonderland. This will be her third season with the San Diego Ballet. Ms. Avery would like to share her thanks to all of her teachers at Miller-Marley as they have been integral pieces in her professional dance career today.
