Elayna Waxse received most of her dance training at the Miller Marley School of Dance where she was a part of the Miller Marley Youth Ballet. She attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet in New York City and at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School (PNB) in Seattle, where she also trained as a professional division student for two years. During her time at PNB, Elayna performed many works with the company including George Balanchine’s Symphony in C and Kent Stowell’s Nutcracker, among others. Elayna has been a member of Colorado Ballet Studio Company, Minnesota Dance Theatre, Black Label Movement, BodyCartography Project, and Cie Ismael Ivo e Grupo Biblioteca do Corpo, performing with the latter at ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2014. Currently, Elayna dances with TU Dance in St. Paul, MN, where she has been a company member since 2012.
I am so grateful to have been trained in the Miller Marley environment. The combination of excellent training in diverse techniques along with numerous performance opportunities gave me a solid foundation upon which I built my professional career in dance.
