Elizabeth Rudd Elizabeth (Avery) Rudd is an accomplished alumni of Miller-Marley. She began her training here at the age of five and continued for thirteen years. She was a member of the Miller-Marley Entertainers and the Miller-Marley Youth Ballet. She spent summers studying at notable ballet schools throughout the country. These included Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Chicago, Boston Ballet, Ballet Austin, and The Kirov Academy in DC. Elizabeth's professional career began with the Fresno Ballet in Fresno, CA. Here she spent two seasons dancing various roles from the Nutcracker, Firebird, and a work set to the music of Pink Floyd. Upon returning to Kansas City, she joined Storling Dance Theatre. There she was a featured partner and explored her modern training. Elizabeth is also an award winning choreographer. Her piece, Claire de Lune was choreographed for the Midwest Youth Ballet and won an award for Outstanding Emerging Choreographer at the Regional Dance Festival.
